The Dumfries & Galloway Engineering & Manufacturing Forum is a not-for-profit organisation launched in May 2018 to promote this vital sector and the skilled career opportunities which exist within it. We work with a wide range of partners to showcase the apprenticeships and careers available to young people with the right qualifications. Although this region of South West Scotland is perhaps best known for its dairy farming industry, there are around 140 engineering and manufacturing businesses located here from small fabrication workshops through to large international companies such as DuPont, all of whom, are eager to find, train and employ skilled local students.
